I did speak with him after the run he siad he was just trying to get up there and get staged he thought his dad had the hood shut and got him out of the way. No body was up there waiving him not to roll up there. Then when he was trying to hurry and get up to the beams, then the starter gave him the red bulb. He said to me well i might as well drive it down the track now that im up here, he hit the gas a little bit and the hood wasnt latched down like he thought, looking at the car just ,a new hood will fix the problem. Like he said the one thing on his mind was just try and get up there and make the run. Cause of problem short in battery cable wouldnt keep car running he said
