Default Re: Can a slick be patched or plugged?

I plugged a M/T radial stocker tire and had no probelms with it. Used a std fast plug kit and made the next round after finding a tire going down in the lanes.
Took the tire off and redid the pug with a mushroom type plug and used a red vulcanizing sealer from the inside. Wore those tires down to the cords....never was any problem....

I would not hesitate to just use the gooey std twisted style red plugs....Once they set in there they seem to last fine even in the thin tread....
