I agree .Make your own. They'll fit better and be stronger.

Those are some good connectors there. They have the seat frame bolt tie-ins.

Bob, Nostalgia is my business!

I would have had to reinforce the torque boxes on the Mustang if I had run it much more with the stick shift. I just welded up some cracks that were starting for the automatic conversion.
A stick shift will do a lot of damage to those cars. Even a low hp one.

i would highly recommend a set of battle boxes from wild rides. upper and lowers. fit was great and nice quality. i agree that you can make your own connectors. i bought a pair from griggs racing and they are pretty much a couple of pieces of rectangular box tubing.

I custom made my son's front TS 2" x 2" x 1/8". Took about 5 hours on a lift with a tubing bender right there. Unlike the picture, I ran his all the way back to where the stock frame rail turns to go up and all the way to a similar point in the front. I did not cut the floor pan, but I bent them to fit as tight to the follor as close as possible. Then I took a floor jack and a 2 x4 and kept jacking the connector up to the floor. I did weld it completely where it was tight to the floor (most of the connector). My son's car is a stick shift car with more that 2,500 launches @ 5,600 to 6,000 RPM. The torqure boxes are stock, un-reinforced. The car is a low HP car with a 340 HP Ford Crate motor.
