Bob, Nostalgia is my business!

I would have had to reinforce the torque boxes on the Mustang if I had run it much more with the stick shift. I just welded up some cracks that were starting for the automatic conversion.
A stick shift will do a lot of damage to those cars. Even a low hp one.

i would highly recommend a set of battle boxes from wild rides. upper and lowers. fit was great and nice quality. i agree that you can make your own connectors. i bought a pair from griggs racing and they are pretty much a couple of pieces of rectangular box tubing.

I run the Battle Boxes that Bob stated, and had Maximum Motorsports full length sub frame connectors in my car for years. I now have the Wolfe Racecraft thru the floor type, but only because I ended up doing an 8.50 cage for down the road. I would weld the torque box seams. As stated... stick cars will tear stuff up fast if you don't modify anything.

TIm:

I have used UPR full length connectors. Comes with plates for the torque boxes, seat brackets and fit well.
