I have the heads and intake that could make that happen real easy. I know where there is some assembled short blocks that could be had real cheap that ran in the 8's at more weight than that.

Tim Cole (Comp Cams) has a V6 powered Corvette Super Stock car that runs mid 8 second ET's.
Adger Smith at one time had a very fast V6 Camaro. So, yeah, it can be done.

It depends on if you are talking racing v-6 engine or a factory installed v-6.

A split pin 4.3 crankshaft won't go 10.90 very many times. A common pin, odd fire crank, would be what you would use. So the answer is a production 4.3 isn't a good choice.

It can be done.
you tube of my SS/DS Camaro in testing a couple of years ago. All steel 1986 Camaro, Single 750 holley, 3200 lb, no Nos, 277 cu in, Pro flite 3 speed 2.12 low gear tranny, Leave chip 6800, shift 9400 - 8,000 stall. I had the same engine in a 2200 lb roadster that ran some 8.80's - 150's mph with a PG tranny With the right parts 10.90 is a cake walk. You will struggle and destroy stock 4.3 engine parts. . I talked to Tim Cole and he has a nice Buick headed V-6 that would haul your 2,000 lbs real well. It is priced very reasonable. Get in touch with him @ Comp Cams or call me and I'll give you his cell # Adger 903 824 4924 cell 903 794 7223 shop

I have three blocks and several stock heads and a bunch of parts for those. All of them have the steel roller cam, and they are take outs from S-10 trucks and an Astro van. If some racer wants them, he can pick them up for free from my house. I had an S-10 Blazer that was going to need an engine. I never got around to rebuilding one of them, and we got rid of the Blazer three years ago.Everything goes in one lot.
