My two favorites:
1) Quaker City in Salem OH (home track)
2) Mason-Dixon in Hagerstown MD (beein doing S/SS races there since 1996)
Honorable mention: Keystone Raceway/Pittsburgh Raceway Park

Ones I'm not to crazy about: MIR and Atco (all paved parking makes it brutal when it's hot, no shade)...no motels really close to the track at either place (1/2 hour drive or more, and all the ones at MIR are close to, or over, $100 per night. Beaver Springs doesn't have any close motels either).

I've had fun and enjoyed every track I've ever been to, though. Everything from an old outlaw 1/8 mile track that used to be an airport (Steubenville OH) to Indy and a lot in between.

When you're at the Beaver, you CAMP! Beaver Springs is old school, and I love it for the clean yet no frills nostalgic feel, and that's exactly what they hang their hat on. Gasser Magazine's Gasser Reunion (pics: http://www.beaversprings.com/results...%20Reunion.htm), York US 30 Reunion Nostalgia Nationals (pics: http://www.beaversprings.com/results...gia%20Nats.htm), Flashback Friday (more Nostalgia Super Stocker, Junior Stock racing, coming up Aug 12), Jalopy Showdown Drags... great lineup.

Currently called Speedworld, used to be "Mel Larson's" when I grew up there. But no doubt Vegas is the best in the west.

Bandimere Speedway for three reasons:
1. No other track I've been to has a cool down island that'll cool up to 12 cars at once...just don't drink that water!
2. Stadium seating...it's like being at "Red Rocks" for a concert! They need handrails though!
3. Down hill staging lanes...lower engine temps due to less need for starting your engine to move your vehicle...also no need to push it until you're nearly under the tower!

Note: Although I love the track for those reasons, I don't care for the north 40, and it's isolation from the racing action. However, the pros outweigh the cons.

Honorable mentions:

Thunder Valley Raceway, Marion Sd., since that's the only track I've raced at that I've earned triple digit money at every time, and the shaded pits were cool for camping around too!

Douglas Motor Sports Park, Douglas, Wy. At no other divisional I've ever attended did the towns people come out and offer fresh fruit like they did for the '96 divisional...that was a major attraction for the whole town, and the people there showed us racers/crew how much we were appreciated for attending the event!

Southwestern International Raceway, Tucson, Az. Where else can you enjoy Bacon and eggs, and watch race cars blaze by heading down the quarter-mile?

I'm partial to Budds Creek / MIR myself, it's close to home.
