A lot of good answers here, especially the first several. I really don't remember much about Paul Blevins' Nomad, but I do think his "Scotto and Blevins" Corvette was super.

He had the nomad first but did run both cars at the same time. I think Bill I don't remember how to spell his last name drove the vette.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Coleman Roddy, two time World Champ.

I thought his wins were after the demise of Modified.

I did too. He was a very nice guy with very clean cars, but was not yet real fast the last year I raced. Mike Edwards was World Champ the year after I quit, and then they killed off Modified the next year. That's how I remember it, anyway. Remember, I'm old. :-)

Dennis it sounds like your thinking of Bill Izykowski
He drove a number of cars after the Biscaynes...

Blevins Nomad was pretty much the best /MP car of the era around here......F and G usually......and always ran fast

Larry Kopp did a lot of winning and had very good cars but we had a lot good cars in this area....I liked his early Corvette best....'61 or '62

Garley's Nova was at least a tenth quicker than the rest of the other C/SM's at the Summers around '78 or '79.

Modified eliminator was really something to see back around 1975-1980
Even the earlier era when it was called Street eliminator....mid '60s on was great...
