Changing to synthetic trans fluid

The new ATI trans fluid really works well and does keep temp down.

Does synthetic fluid cause the converter to be looser?
I tried some several years ago and that was what I experienced.
May have been the type of fluid I tried. It was one of those trick of the week items that was supposed to pick the car up.
