![]() ![]() '68 NHRA Springnationals in Englishtown NJ, Sox & Martin Plymouth 67 Hemi GTX in SS/D takes on Bob Lambeck in Landy's 68 Dodge Dart SS/EA with 440 wedge power. This is where the Sox & Martin 'multiple car confusion' sets in. At the 1968 NHRA Springnationals, the Sox & Martin GTX #780, is the 1967 GTX Street-Hemi, which ran in SS/D. This car won the Super Stock Eliminator,,,,by defeating Don Grotheer, who ran the Cable Chrysler-Plymouth SS/B Hemi Barracuda. Amazingly, the Sox & Martin #780 GTX Street-Hemi did not even win the SS/D Class Championship. The 440 GTX cars in SS/F in 1968. paul,,,,,, ![]() |
