Default 1982 - 1992 Camaro/Firebird front springs & struts

Racers,

who can help me with front springs & struts? Who is successfully racing a 3rd generation in Stock or Super Stock that will share the front suspension setup with me?

Larry,
The setup is fairly straightforward and widely known ... but I am sure you have your own opinion.

I am using a Vari-Shock setup, and it works very well. I have had many racers tell me my car leaves, and lands real well. The adjustment is real nice, and I can tell when I made an adjustment. I do not have any exp with the Santhuff stuff, but this is less expensive. I changed the std upper bearing to a spherical one when Installed. Part # VAS 172DP-952

Jason,

what front spring are you running with the Vari-Shock? What about the upper strut mount?

Greg, I am puzzled about your comment. And since there is no smiley face following the comment, well, it seems an usual statement to make to someone you don't know.

It is true I spend much time gathering information and relying on personal experience. And it is true I am not one to jump on any Band Wagon without first learning all the facts.

Maybe that is what you mean?

Larry -

I am using the Santhuff 150 pd front springs and Koni shocks done by Lamb. My car picks the front end up and sets it down without bouncing or wiggling. Goes straight down the track with no problems.

The front spring was there when I bought the car. I was told it is a Moroso piece. I am using the factory upper mount with a spherical bearing instead of a std bearing to eliminate any side load on the shaft of the strut. Send me your email if you like - I have a picture and drawing.
