There were over 243 thousand 1969 Camaro's built, not all of which are racing in Stock and Super Stock, but I get your point. I just wonder how many CJ "clone's or tribute's or recreations" there will be. I'm guessing it'll take more than an engine change and decals!

The plot thickens!

I once heard there are now more 1970 Chevelle SS454 machines around than Chevy ever built....I tend to agree.

5 years from now (or maybe sooner), I predict there will be more CJ "tribute" cars at the track than real CJ's Ford ever actually produced.

With the popularity of these cars, and the fact that alot of 2005-2009, 2010 and later V-6 cars are getting cheaper, the hardest part of making a clone will be to find the special hood and badging.

I talked this over with a friend of mine about buying a used 2010 V-6 car and "cloning" it into a 2010 CJ so as to be able to run the 4.6 3V 232 fact. h.p. crate engine and run K/S.
The hood and body badging parts from Ford are pretty pricey tho.
