Damned few racers would tow hundreds of miles with a new car with no passes on it to race at one of the toughest division races in the country, and then tow to Indy, not sure of being able to qualify. Bruce not only did that, but he did it successfully. It's a great looking car, with a ton of potential. And Bruce is just the sort of guy to make it reach that potential. We talked in the staging lanes, and it looks like he already knows where to find 2-4 tenths. I may not agree with Bruce on a lot of things, we've gone at each other as hard on this board as any two people in recent memory. But I'll say this, anyone who questions his dedication to drag racing in general, and Stock Eliminator in particular, has no idea what they're talking about. And given Bruce's investment of time and money in a traditional old school class car, he's got every right to speak out about NHRA making the car uncompetitive in its class with a stroke of the pen.

Well, the plan changed a bit. I got a hold of an internet connection. I will post the three videos I have ready to go. They will be in 720p.

Agreed. It takes alot of courage to load up an untested car and drive 800+ miles to a division race for the first passes on a new car. 3 days later at Indy making runs at the biggest race of the year and quailfying. A big accomplishment and something to be proud of. Something that keyboard jockeys have no idea about.
QUOTE=Bruce Noland;280940]My car had 0 passes on it when I arrived at Bowling Green and 9 passes total when Kenny and I ran. I didn't go to Indy this year expecting to win anything. I thought it would be a victory just to qualify and I did do that. Maybe you should come out and try your luck since you are an authority on winning races. And I'll race any where I want and some computer cat isn't going to tell me to stay at home. What a joker?[/QUOTE] |

Toby, thanks for all your hard work. I enjoyed meeting you in the stacking area at Rob & Steph Cruzen's trailer. Chris Ashley seems like a neat young lady too.
Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who has posted pictures and videos of the race. I had to wait 34 years to attend because of school starting (I am now retired), but I have attended and raced the last 3 years in class and finally got to race on Sunday because enough people left. It is easier to find me looking at the bottom of the ladder, rather than the top. See everyone next year. Dyno
