Anyone know a Dave Bunch?

There's a guy named Dave Bunch claims to have raced olds' back in the 60's. Also claims to have raced a 68 ram rod with Smothers Brothers, I've never heard of him anyone else? May Jeremy Vaible if your on line. Trying to see if he's legit or a faker

Before my time for sure, but I recall seeing photos of a '68 Olds with that driver and "Gone Bananas" on it. I don't recall seeing his name associated with the Smothers Brothers team.

do not know him personally saw him at the track a few times but in the late 60's early to mid 70's he had a "factory"W-31 Ram Rod cutlass ran as a stocker held several class records for a few years--he had been an Olds employee--

Yes, I know Dave Bunch. He was a thin dark haired fellow. He ran an Olds Stocker many years ago. He ran at Orlando often. The cars name was "Gone Bananas". I have not heard anything about him in many years. He is for real. I can attest to that. I'm sure Carl Weisinger can tell you more about him. Jim

Didn't Perry Sperber or Art from Action Automotive in Daytona have the "Gone Bananas" car at one time? This had to be in the late '70's - early '80's.

So many people were associated with the Smothers Brothers, everybody wanted to get close to the flame. I remember my brother raced them during a time trial and couldn't believe how many people were around their trailer and cars. Since the Smothers knew just about nothing about cars,they needed the help from people like Dave Bunch.CR

Chuck, if you are asking the Waibel's to give you information about Dave Bunch, there was an early posting that appears to show there is not a lot of love between both of them...
