I used to do Q-Jets also but as I am really a MoPar guy I decided to concentrate on the Carter TQ as there were very limited builder outlets for racers. That said, I have seen examples of most of the "good" Q-Jet builders out there and I have to say I would lean towards Ashley for the Stock/ Super Stock combos in general. I have seen several back to back tests and his seem to come out on the winning end. Danny's drivability, in my opinion, is better. Once again this is just my opinion, for what it's worth. Jim

I don't use a carb, but have worked with Dean Oliver on some data logging and wide band O2 projects and I sure am impressed with his knowledge. Nice guy too.

The core is the big piece to the puzzle. Once you have a good core the the above mentioned racers make them great. In addition, I have used Jim Boburka and Gary Stinnett carbs with little to no variance in et and mph.

When you all say" its all about the Q-jet core" . What do you all look for? So one might know what core to send to one of the Q-jet builders. ThankYou Kenney Kelley

And stands behind his product, another racer had an issue with a bog on the two step, and I had mentioned I was going to be using a two step, and the next thing I know he sent out the suspected problem part with a modification on it. Granted I didnt need it so he asked to send it back and he would cover shipping costs.....no money out of my pocket. He also emailed me a tuning guide which is mind blowing how in depth it is. Lets not forget that his q-jet on my combo compared with a known working carb was equal or better on the dyno and in the car. Worth every penny I spent.
