Default Re: rpms past peak

Probably cause you're nosing over, Randy.. on the Comp cars that I've driven and worked on, we run about 485 to 500 on the seat and get close to 40 runs out of them.. recently that's been on screaming small blocks and 6 cylinder stuff.. shifting at around 9600 to 9800 and going out the back at 10,200 to 10,400 depending on the weather.. everything came off the dyno being run to 10,400 to 10,600.. but that's how Rick Watter's stuff works..

My SG car has about 290 on the seat and never runs more than 7300, on or off the stop.. it's all new now, but the last motor was 4 seasons old and I never changed a spring in those four years.. they were all still at 280 to 285 when we took them off..
