Default Re: Oil pressure @ performance?

oil pressure/volume can be too hi unnecessarily---ya only need enough pressure to keep it together as well as help keeping the engine cool----I ran a SBC comp car and it had "maybe 40 pounds going thru the lights !!!! probably less than 25 at the line ---now I realize you probably drive your car back to the pit area but do ya really need a large volume pump or that really hi pressure probably not---the engineers at GM built overkill into the SBC as far as oil pressure/volume in the pan etc.goes-- pressure and volume sap HP from engines ---yep there is HP not only in pressure/volume but the viscosity of the oil ya use too---my 2 cents-- Comp
