We have a [two] winners. Kenny Bomar and Todd Phillips both correctly identified Amy Faulk and Edmond Richardson as two former NHRA World Champions that will be in the hunt on Sunday!
This just in, track officials announced that Saturday's Test and Tune will also offer free overnight parking to anyone interested in getting an early jump on Sunday Sunday Sunday! Gates open at 1 pm ct on Sat, Test until dark. TNT - $15, Spectators $5. Overnight parking free! Here's a challenge to our Combo friends. If 20 cars run better than the current IHRA record or minimum index, I will personally call IHRA headquarters and lobby tirelessly for an old-fashioned record run! There will not be a better chance of besting the IHRA record than this weekend at Jackson. Crisp fall air, forecast for partly cloudy and high of 70 degrees. Starting line of 285 feet of laser leveled concrete [less than 2 years old], Track sprayed all the way to the finish line! Conditions will be perfect. A guaranteed purse featuring $2000 to win. If you really wanna know what your hot rod will do when the table is perfectly set for you, this is the time. The challenge is thrown before you! Who's game? From the high stakes dept, Glynn |

I went to one of these races and enjoyed it very much, I have family obligations for the weekend and can not come.Yall have fun . I enjoyed my days at the S/S races with Fred Neal and watching the combo cars when I ran the Greenville Dragway and I hate to miss this race. David is doing a good job with this track Later J.Smith 4621 racing.

Is this 1/8 or 1/4 mile and does anybody know what kind of timing system the track has?

The Jackson track was previously 1/4 mile, it is 1/8 mile now with a long shut down area. I don't know what timing system electronics they use, it seems to be consistent and reliable, I do not recall any timing system problems.
I'm not sure about heads up races, most of the racers running at Jackson have run Bowling Green combo races, and we do have heads up races at Bowling Green.

Yes sir Wade, at 210 HP in IHRA, still haven't made mind up about going. That is a good pay out for a fifty dollars bill. It's 240 miles for me to the track, still thinkin about my last trip down there on a rain out. O'well still got two days to think more about it.
