There are no heads up no breakout races in bracket racing.
Just because the size of the field and the number of classes reduces the chance of heads up races does not mean it is not a performance based class. You have the chance of a heads up race, you qualify based on your performance compared to an index for your combination. Sounds like a performance based class. Is it as performance based as some would like? No. However, 3-4 of the fastest traditional AA and A cars in the country, with drivers easily capable of winning a national event, have been eliminated in late rounds by new cars in heads up races, where the traditional cars were not even close.
