Yes, Myron; John Hagen set the last Pro Stock (pre 500cid) mph record with one of those motor, and runner-upped in a squeaker, to Lee Shepard at Pomona II that year .

I believe that was 1981. It had enjoyed only ONE YEAR'S development time...

I wrote an article (photo-story) for Super Stock magazine about how that 383 Hemi was built. It was in the June 1980 issue, beginning on page 57. If you have any interest in this, and can't locate a copy, drop me an email at Billdedman@Hotmail.com and I'll send you a photocopy of that article.

Sorry this is so late in getting posted; this turbocharged slant six I'm trying to build has me distracted... LOL!
