Default Re: Superstock Wheelie Bars???

Jeff,
I have the Calvert bar on my 1967 E/SA Camaro. I built a re-inforced pad below the trunk floor to contact the upper wheel, and just adjusted the bar up so the upper wheel touched the pad. After my record run, our Div. tech director informed me that no part of the device can contact the chassis when it is "at rest". He made me cut the support springs down at the track to lower the bar, and actually checked it before my backup run to make sure the upper wheel was not in contact. Just a heads up before you re-work your AJE bars. He didn't like the bar, thought it might be changed in the rules for 2012. I think it's great, and a safety item in my opinion, I'm too old for them wild wheelies...lol
