1/8th mile vs. 1/4 mile just another excuse for the NHRA racers not to come run a IHRA race. What difference does it make. I understand you like 1/4 mile racing better. I like 1/4 mile racing too. If the races are on the same date, I can understand why you would choose one over the other. What I can't understand is why you would not go if it did'nt conflict with the other?

I would run 100 ft as long as I was racing.Everyone has there preference, there is nothing wrong with that.It seems there has been a lot of NIHRA racers that have tried IHRA and found it to be a good experience. What is it?, Alot of nhra programs were started in ihra, when nhra comes out with a new (supposedly new idea ) it seems to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but if it is researched most of the time ihra already had it. I myself am happy both sanctioning bodies exist to give racers more options, There has been 1/4 mile races held and I still have not seen (some) of the nay sayers in attendance.

Chuck I cant argue the budget debate!
I know I was at Montgomery a couple years ago. They made it a 1/4 mile race and nobody came. |

OK you guys, here is the deal.
1st week in February is IHRA divisional in Immokalee, a double race. 2nd week is NHRA divisional at Orlando. 3rd week is NHRA divisional at Gainesville 4th week is a bye week. This is the week that racers from up north are heading down for the Gators 1st week of March NHRA divisional in South Georgia, on the way down to the Gators. 2nd week is the Gatornationals. 3rd week is a bye week. This is when northern racers head back or go to Belle Rose 4th week is the IHRA divisional double at Bradenton. It appears on paper that the car count will not have a lot of northern racers in Bradenton. But there are a lot of class racers in the state of Florida, they should be at Bradenton. If they do not show it is their loss. We will wait and see how many show, I'll see you all there. Ron Ortiz U/SA better have a fat wallet
