Default Re: Hey Teuton, that thing got a hemi?

Make all the jokes you want, but the new Dart is another reason why I'm holding on to my Honda civic for at least another year. I'm waiting to see all the new offerings from Chevy (he Sonic and the Cruze), Ford (the Fiesta and the Focus) and Chrysler Fiat (the new Dart). These are all going to be 40+ mpg cars, something I don't see the import brands yet building except for hybrids. There is a reason the American brands are having a comeback-they are building cars that people want, whether they be muscle car replicas like the Camaro, Mustang, or Challenger, or cars that will get good fuel mileage because everyone with a brain knows that the growth of the Asian economies will mean that over time, the only possible trend for the price of gasoline is a much higher price. By the time those new Federal laws have their full impact, we'll look back fondly on a $4/gallon price for gasoline.
