This is why this combo got HP. The thing I can't figure out is they only hit the Camaro's and Firebird's. Why didn't the Corvette take a hit?

Vettes never trigger the f body cars and vice versa.

I've never understood that either, it happened to the Lt1's a couple of years back as well, they are both 'sports' bodied cars with the exact same engine. I can understand the difference in bodies from a sports car to a wagon, that ones obvious.

Wheelbase, engine setback, overall weight distribution. VERY different cars

OK Chad,
Wheelbase is roughly 5" shorter on a vette, the engine, as far as i know, is the same to the front axle spindle, don't know specifically the weight distribution difference, what is it and how can ya say that the vettes are at a disadvantage to the camaro's and firebirds in these areas?????

I wish I knew, please help! I fail to see how they are, as you say VERY different. They probably have a better aero package as well!
