May not be an "all timer" in STK & S/S as opposed to Pro Stock, but Jason Line won a world championship in Stock driving a Buick.
I remember seeing Jack Mullin's wagon at Ontario Motor Speedway for the World Finals in '75 and the school bus it traveled in,,, pretty impressive. In the Oldsmobile camp,,way back when, you had the Smothers Brothers team cars. Ingersoll brought his Olds up to Seattle in '76 so we had a chance to watch it run,,, don't think anyone has run one with that combo and a 4 speed since then, not very common. Up here in the NW, the Kost family has done well with their Oldsmobiles, and Pontiac Stock racer Bill Edgeworth runs a record setting Firebird as does newly transplanted NHRA champ Brad Burton. My 2 cents. Danny Durham |
