Always a good racer !!!

In case you missed the note on Sunday's qualifying sheet, he destroyed the rear end and coasted/slid to a stop around half track on his qualifying run. Took almost 30 minutes to get the car off the track because they didn't have a flatbed wrecker and the rear end kept locking up as it was being towed. At least he got to celebrate the win Saturday night before disaster struck on Sunday.

Way to go John. Glad I was there to watch. The Mongrel knew the rear end was going south. Good to see all the southern folks

Hey Dave - I was thinking the same thing - could this be the same John Boyer that ran a AMC Hornet named"Mongrel"?. It made me look to see what kind of car he is running now - No AMC - he's in a Chevy now. John was really hot in the mid 70's at the PA, NJ, MD tracks.

Mike and Dave. It's the one and the same. He still has the Hornet too.

Not only that but he travels with three dogs! One real Wolf, a Lab/ Blood Hound and a another who is the cutest mix of some kind. Homer the Lab/Blood Hound who takes up the whole golf cart is my favorite! Jim
