I really doubt that is from Dave Bishop. That is a classic scam when someone's email gets hacked. I've sent Dave a message through Facebook to make sure it is not true. However, I am 99.9 percent certain it is a scam.

I called Dave at his home, office and cell , but could not reach him. But I new he would not spell words this way and he has lots more friends with MONEY other than me If he needed real help.
Also noticed how in the 2nd -4 e-mail words of eastcoastdrgnews were spelled. + I called Tim to see if he knew where Dave was. |

Got the same e-mail a while back from a woman I used to work with. Well, it was her e-mail address anyway. I never sent her any money and she's still around.

I had a 2008 and later years Challenger new hood, for sale on craigs list for $600.
Got an email from a guy who said he would take it. But he was out of town and would need to make arrangements for shipping. I got another email (from a different email address) from him saying that he was sending payment and would give me final instructions after I received that payment. A check arrived from an East Coast University, (he never said that he was in any way associated with any University, and he had said in his first email that he was on the West Coast), for the amount of $2900. This was just a little more than the $600 I was asking... Gee, could this be real? I was supposed to deposit it, except for the $600 and another $400, for my "trouble", and to then send the rest of the moneyto his "shipper." Can you see all of the red flags? I never tried to deposit the check. It was clearly a scam, and is all now in the hands of the FBI. I hope they actually track down and arrest people like this, and while they are at it, they can take all of the illegal aliens back to where they came from too. I think the odds of either one, is pretty slim. But, what the heck, I can always hope. David The New Hemi Guy . Last edited by NewHemi; 02-11-2012 at 03:37 AM. |
