OK 442 ya got me on that one but howbout hi $$$$ poker--the point is they can figure ways to show everything but motorsports---do not know the reason but it must hafta do with ESPN mgmt dictating what activities are gonna be covered- NHRA seeked out ESPN and pays ESPN to televise their events!! ESPN did not go to NHRA and say how's about we pay you for the right to do NHRA racing---NHRA is paying to have our sport televised not the other way around

Dick,
You hit the nail on the head about showing everything but Motorsports. With all the avaliable channels and air time seems like evertime I turn on the "Tube" (showing my age) There is some degenerate screaming at another in some"reality" situation or there is something about ??? wars. IE: Trucking, about storage of all types and in all places, killing of Gators, pawn Stars of all types and last but not least dancing and singing stars. Talk agout filling time with....,to be nice, well just about anything. What gives where are the Drag Race Wars or Drag Race Stars?

Coverage seems worse than ever on ESPN2.
Probably,in part,because of this: http://www.competitionplus.com/drag-...onal-this-year |

Thaaaat's why they make YouTube. Lisa King from BracketRaceCentral was kind enough to film a good bit of our Fall Footbrake Frenzy, and posted an hour and a half of runs on YouTube. I put together a playlist of just the qtrs, semis, finals and winner's circle interviews of the $20K, and the semis, finals and winner's circle interviews of the last $5K.
http://www.looserocker.com/fff/2011/media.html Several big money bracket events had Live Timing, Audio, and Video last year, with a fully produced 3-4 camera shoot for the live video feed. The K&N Spring Fling 20's that Peter Biondo and Kyle Seipel put on at Bristol the last two years has had a full show that appeared on Fox Sports Net, and this past year they sent a DVD of the show to all participants. You can watch all of their deal on YouTube as well. Go to www.bracketraces.com John Kyle at APD just started an internet "drag race tech support" site, which includes video how-to's... Folks, we don't have to be beholden to big media anymore. Take the reigns, and broadcast yourself.

I can't sit in the stands and watch a bracket race why would anyone sit and watch one on the computer? I will always have something to do in the shop to occupy my time. As far as Speed Channel gaining on ESPN. I guess if your into monster trucks that would be true.

This was on my Facebook page today from a friend that works at ESPN.
"Due to popular demand ESPN3 makes its return with Friday qualifying and Sunday eliminations for the rest of the year beginning tonight with NHRA Full Throttle qualifying from the Arizona Nationals. I'll update the start time soon." I see it is listed on ESPN3 for tonight starting at 6pm. Thanks, Brad Rose Rose Racing |

I will be out in the shop finishing last minute details on my small block while the laptop runs ESPN3 on the bench with the audio jack plugged into the shop stereo... I know the coverage isnt great, but it is better to listen to the sounds than listen to W.Houston coverage on reg tv.
--Brad, nice story in Dragster on your family. Jason Hueschen was over the other night and we were talking about Matt. Clark |
