Its easier to draw comparisomes between the red 68 with the iron head program to a super stocker, for me atleast, than the 522. Do you have a time slip for the 9.89 pass? Very interested lower track times. Thanks in advance.

Ed I don't hide and when you click on my user name, my profile page has my name right under the album photo...Ed Bigley. Further, anyone wanting and info about me and my former Chevelle need only contact 2 of the 3 friends listed on my profile page who know me and my car very well. Rich Biebel who built every version of my 468 that was run in that car from 1998 - 2007 and Jeff Jewel who I have raced with for the better part of the past 20 years. Back to your comment, HP Hunter knows who I am and is hiding his identity and that's the only reason he registered last night. He refuses to believe the performance of my former Chevelle.

Not sure about that, new to your forum. My question here is this, and its a very legitemit question thats needs a real answer, how does a 10.07 @ 131 = a 1.28 60, that car is not moving hard enough down low to run that, as evidenced by the 131 MPH. Pump gas, you on the forum look at the exhaust, it doesnt look like pump gas to me. Now you will say I have a problem with the performance, not so, compression (11.5), roller cam, single plane, big double pumper holley, ported heads, and so on, my goodness, I would hope the car could run a 10.07 especially at Atco. The car runs 9.89 @ 134 and change, again high MPH for the ET, certainly you would have a faster 60 with the 522, show us the time slip, certainly this is a fair request, put this to bed. Looks like the picture of the exhaust will have to wait till later, it will need to be resized.

That said, this thread ain't about my former ride, it's about wheelie bars specifically Ken Keir's single wheelie bar. I have advised my internet friend Garret aka 40Coupe on this matter the same as I have advised him for over 10 years. If you have nothing further to add to this thread by replying to the question asked and about the car in question and are only interested in my former ride and what it did 5 years ago, I suggest you start a new thread in the Bracket Racing Forum about it and be sure to include your real verifiable name. Oh and for the record...the 1.28 was not carded on the 10.07 pass which was at ETown NOT Atco, it was run at Piedmont Dragway as can be seen in the photo. The compression is 11:1 NOT 11.5 and the 522 was run then as it is now with a restrictor plate. Last edited by 1320racer; 02-25-2012 at 10:27 AM. |
