It was always great bench racing with Jerry whenever we would cross paths at the track! He was a great racer and clearly loved to race! I last saw him at Indy and despite all that he was dealing with at the time, was smiling and having a great time doing what he enjoyed! We certainly will miss him.

It is so very sad to learn of the death of Jerry Heffler. Having known Jerry for a number of years and recalling the stories he told me over those years makes me smile. Jerry's family members know just how much of a loss losing Jerry really is. We all lost a good friend and competitor!
