That said, I wouldn't waste my $ or time putting a fuel cell in your stocker wagon, there is no performance advantage as I've made over 4000 passes in my '68 Chevelle with the factory unsumped gas tank, running as quick as 9.80's and 60 footing a best of 1.28.
Ed No doubt a stock tank will work in his car........ But this is not a bracket car... He will have to go through fuel checks........ It is much easier to manage fuel quality through a smaller amount....... Aluminum is very nice, but plastic will work........

Steve, easier? If you say so but what did everyone do before fuel cells were allowed in stock the past decade?

Not sure, but have you heard how finicky fuel checks are these days??? Managing a small amount of fuel must be much more cost effective.

Yes, Because it's a wagon you can put the cell below the floor.

I run a 10 gal. aluminum, and i take out the foam.If you run into a problem with your fuel not checking,it is easier to get it cleaned out.Does anyone else think it is a good idea to put in a fuel shut off in the line? With the fuel cell now mounted high in the rear of the car,it is easy for it to drain out if a line is cracked open.A fuel shut off makes it easier, and safer to service a pump or regulator,or to just drain the system.I like the 10 gal. because it is easier to add a little weight if you need to.The tanks with the tabs welded on them are simpler to mount also.

They all stopped putting tabs on them now, they were not meant to be mounted with the tabs, but people were mounting them that way and the tabs were breaking off creating a dangerous situation. Should mount with hold down straps.

Here is a pic of my new setup. It's a Jeg's 5 gallon with 2 #10 outlet bungs, a #8 vent and a #8 return. I had my local race shop make a CM mount and tig on some attachment bungs.
