Angry Re: National Event Registration Guidelines Revised

Maybe it was the email I sent!
Josh: Reading the guide lines is like school yard mentality, other people make commitments that they can't follow up on, so other people get punished for that behavior.

BTW, people do withdraw for some very good reasons. It's a little tiresome to see several people (not calling you out, realize it's a fairly common sentiment) question the decisions of withdrawing entrants without any knowledge whatsoever of what caused it. People spend a lot of time and money to get grade points (and hopefully win some $ along the way) and if s...happens then it's great to have a withdrawal policy in place and a year's time to catch a race they can make.

The problem wasn't with the racers withdrawing, it was NHRA's policy not to allow other racers to get into the race with slots still open because of a school yard type policy. A participating member of the NHRA, even having only one grade point, should be qualified to enter any National event if there are openings in the field. NHRA's policy that was changed, kept racers from being considered to particapate in races that had openings in the field. That is what this link is about, not the withdrawls, but the NHRA's policy!

I happened to be one of those racers looking from the outside in, and I'm still pissed about it.
