Default Re: Green Slime in slicks???

I use dawn on my slicks. But with these POS 8 inch wide, 20 inch tall tires They always leak.
But the leak I had was pretty bad. I put the green slime in, then ran the car on the jackstands for about 5 minutes. Then I took a spray bottle and sprayed where i thought they were leaking (the side walls) well no leaks on the sides, but some of the soapy water got on the slick surface and it was blowing bubbles. I then looked closely at the slicks to find the cords were showing. Ending my race weekend.

Next question is does anyone have any 8 x 20 x 14 inch M/T slicks?

I bought the last 2 that were available about 3 years ago. There might have been one more I think Mike Beard was able to buy one tire.

Your car will like the taller tire.
