Have any of you experienced positive results from switching to a Mikronited ring and gear setup? How much did you pay? Where did you get the process done?
Cryogenics has really been around for quite some time in industry. It really didnt make it into racing until Indy and Nascar and now drag racing. Its first and foremost use was in stress relief although certain materials can see a change in strength. It would be very hard to show an increase or decrease in friction as it wasnt designed for that. It will normally result in increased tool life expectancy. Good example is drill bits and endmills. Really helps on any thing that gets shock (rear gear, trans gears). Your savings will be gears that will last much longer.
