Car Craft magazine reported a back to back test in 2009 with a 8.8 Ford rear end in a mostly-stock Mustang with 204 hp at the rear wheels to start. A-B test showed a 6 hp increase. They didn't do the A-B-A (not sure how you could do an actual A-B-A test with the same set of gears), and they used a new set of gears for the treatment. I don't get super excited about that for several reasons that could call into question the nit-picky, undeniable scientific precision of thiws test, but this example with other tests that have been documented show there is enough evidence to indicate it would be worth investigating. Certainly enough to not make such a big deal about Jim Bailey's claims.

I fully understand why Jim is not responding to 1320racer's rants and support him fully. As with any part or service, the vendor has no control over the application or installation. Some people can screw up a bowling ball with a feather. That is not to imply that 1320racer is one of those people, but you never know. This situation is a great example of character. If 1320racer does not believe that Jim's services will help him, then he has the perogative to not buy the service. Anything further than that just shows a lack of character and consideration. I personally have heard unsolicited testimony from several sources that support Jim's claims, so that becomes evidence for me to consider his service. Also, I have experienced positive results from processes that are similar to but not as sophisticated as the extent that Mikronite does and that is also evidence that Jim's service is meritable.

I also agree that it would be good to post your name when making adversarial comments. Anything less is cowardly.

I'd expect to see the career test/tuners that post on other sites to rely on Car Craft for their performance info but not one who I assume to be a class racer, posting on classracer.com

Surprised and disappointed.

Bottomline is I have yet to see 1 who has replied here answer all the op's questions, proving 1st hand info.

Bottomline 2...jim made a rediculous claim that my car could run a 1.15 60 foot, .02 quicker than my best and .05 quicker than my average with this $100 treatment. If you believe that nonsense send him your R&P.

Bottomline 3...the op didn't ask about increased gear life/durability yet many that replied spoke solely on that supposed benefit to which I stated that you'd have a hard time convincing me and many other racers I know of the need for this process when I have logged 631 passes to date in a 3144 lb. car 60 footing 1 teens with nothing more than an out of the box gear set bath in 1 quart of Mobil 1 gear lube.

Update, make that 22 users now that have not answer all the op's questions of which 7 only replied to this thread to comment on my replies.

FYI, my name is on my profile page for all to see.

Really? What amount of pride does it take to assume such a position of all-knowing judgment? You apparently did not read nor understand my reference to that article. What is there that disqualifies that source of information? What qualifies your claims with absolutely no claim for evidence other than arragance and words on paper?

Ok, you're right save your 100.00 and put it towards a new gear set as I'm sure after that many runs your gear is worn out. BTW you never answered what class "E" stood for, when you can come on here and post these great achievements using 300 inches or less we'd be more inclined to listen to what if anything useful you have to say.Good day. Joe

No plans for a new gear set anytime soon, R&P look like they were just installed yesterday and I fully expect to log another 250+ passes on this set by seasons end.

Just imagine how much longer they last if they were mikronite or cryo treated.

Cool Re: Mikronite

Any chance if we all ask Ken nicely that he would ban Mr Bigley for life?

Whats the secret to getting so many runs out of a 12 bolt r&p? I run have had all different brands including Richmond and im usually pulling them at about 250 sometimes less but I dont use a pro gear. Maybe its time. Whats your secret? Loose lash? Tight lash?

Ask him to guarantee that you will get over 600 runs.
