Butner and holbrook in the finals. Teuton had problems so we got put back in, I'll let him elaborate. We had problems of our own, car shifted at 6600 first round cuz of a bad chip. Got put back in and blew the tires off second round. Either way we had a blast, and they treated us like pros! We will definitely be back! And trying to cut a light with one of theses cars on a 4 tenths pro tree isn't easy, think 5 pro would be a little better. Is like to see some more cars in bristol, so of you have a factory race car, bring it, it's any ones race to win, think we p proved that tonight.

Bo, Q16 was only legal at this race. It WILL NOT be legal at any other race. Not sure but I believe no one was running it. It was an admitted oversite by tech.

Also until u try the .400 pro tree with a glide I wouldn't open ur mouth.

Our mishap was the trunk sprung open while lifting the car and wasn't noticed. Oh well **** happens!! At LEAST WE were here!!

Teuton,Morris, Helms all agree WE had a GREAT TIME!!!

Sounds like you guys had fun, maybe they will consider switching to a .500 pro tree in the future, and it's good the oxygenated fuel won't be legal in the future, no need for it. I hope they will find a way for the V8s to be competitive though, I really doubt they can run 5.70s.

I think it is great to see the cars hilighted like they did. I know 5 cars, but this is the first one. Give it some time. I am sure other cars will come when they see the fun in competing.

This kind of Performance based racing needs POSITIVE support from all Class Racers, not a bunch of nitpickers sitting on the sidelines.

If you like performance sportsman racing, make sure you e mail ADRL and tell them, even if you weren't able to be there with a car or in the stands to watch.

I was on 1320go watching it and I thought it was pretty cool to have super the cars duking it out with each other.

We can help provide positive momentum for this NEW SPORTSMAN PERFORMANCE BASED CLASS with just a little effort on our part.

Thanks to all that supported as Racers and Fans.

I'm sure its tough, but I hope they keep it at .400.

It could make for some exciting holeshot wins in the future where the slower car anticipates the tree, and makes up over a tenth on his quicker opponent!

In speaking with Bret, the reason for the .400 tree is that it is standard in all ADRL classes. I can't tell you how bad I wanted to be there, but sometimes it ain't meant to be. I probably could have stirred controversy, souped up converstions, drank beer and all the other neat things that go with heads up racing.

As for the turn out for this race. The majority of NHRA Stock racers would not be allowed at the race so you can not blame them.
Remember this is not stock or super stock never was meant to be never will be. That is their words. There is no pay out (also no entree fee). This class is not for the average or even slightly above average racer. It is only for people that can afford to spend a ton of money and not have to worry about trying to win any of it back.

The only racers you can get on about being there are the ones with the new cars. From what I can tell a good portion of those don't race at all. Does any one happen to know the number of drag packs and Mustangs sold? It seems like a lot. Maybe NITRO Joe can answer this question. How many different drag packs and Mustangs have been raced?

Any way just my opinion but the only relation between this class and stock is most of the cars were originally built to be raced in stock. At least the ones that showed up so far.
