Alan,
The safest thing to do would be to contact your trans builder for their recommendation. I have been running a 200 in my car for over 12 years now. It was built by Billy Lynn, and he told me to do the burn out in 1st and 2nd only, not 3rd. When I see the first sign of smoke in 2nd, I let off the line lock and roll out of the water. I try to let off the throttle before the tires catch as Robert suggested earlier. I keep the rpms between 6000-7000 to keep the wheel speed up. I have never had a problem doing a burn out this way. But as with most racing parts, always consult with your particular builder for their recommendations. Dean |

Thanks for all the info guys. Dean the last time I talked to my trans builder, they wanted to lock me up for talking to myself(LOL). I have talked to Billy and Leo, and they put me on the right track.
