Long over due on both , who knows maybe the crank and seat manufacture will pay contingency . Win win for everybody. I voted yes

No one wanted diapers so now they want to let people get aftermarket cranks to help cut down on oil downs. I've said before, everyone should have a diaper. The car you save may not be yours since a lot of you don't seem to care about the possibility that you may be the one with the broken engine.

They pitted some pro stockers and all the alcohol cars in the grass at Houston last week.

The cars in stock should have stock seats. Seats are available you just have to look.

Cranks are ok if they are oem size and weight, with a stroke of + / - .015" and stock journal size with a tolerance of +.000'' and - .060''.

That's what I'm thinking. What the heck is the difference ? Make sure the counter-weights are correct, and your'e there.
Like mentioned... as long as we don't have to replace them every two years.

I have a 47 year-old crank in my engine. Wouldn't hurt my feelings to have a new one.

Yep, let's keep 40+ year seats on race cars that wheel stand and go speeds that their seats were not designed to sustain.

I support the use of "Stock Appearing" aftermarket racing seats that are safer than the OEM seats.

Hmmmmm . . . "seats sustaining speed" is strange to me. I didn't know any seat was built to "sustain speed".
