Thanks for the emails, comments and questions. The response has been overwhelming. I would like to answer some of the questions that have come up as people have downloaded and used the software.

Q. Will the software log the weather and automatically populate the weather fields on new runs?

A. Yes. The advanced edition logs the weather every minute. When you enter a new run, just type in the day and time of the run and the weather info will populate automatically for that time.

Q. Can I use the program on multiple computers? And, do I have to buy the software for each computer.

A. You can use the software on as many computers as you wish. All of your runs are stored in a file that you designated when you first launched the program. You can copy this file to another computer that has DragStat installed and open the file.

You really only have to buy the software for the computer(s) that you plan to use to enter runs because of the 10 run limit on the free version. You can however use the free version on a different computer to view/edit all of your runs as described above.

Q. Can I see my prediction/weather changes in the staging lanes on my phone somehow.

A. Yes. With the advanced edition, if you have Internet access on your computer, you can configure DragStat to send text messages to your phone. The text messages contain all of the weather info as well as your prediction. There is no limit to the number of phones that can be configured.

Q. Will this software work with my kids jr. dragster too.

A. Yes. The software works with 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile tracks. You specify the length when you setup a car record. The prediction screens and the run entry screen will then automatically adjust for it when you select the desired car.
