And the last batch...

They called Superstock round one up just a few minutes ago. And they cancelled Supercomp's first round this afternoon because all of the little clean ups ate all the time up for them. Said they will run round one after Super Street tomorrow. So I guess round two of Stock can sleep in a little later tomorrow. Enjoy!

Some other notes from the weekend - last night the ambulance had to take someone to the hospital that had knee injury, so we were without emergency crew for a bit. Action naturally had to stop. Within five minutes of that announcement the line for ice cream reached all the way to the fence along the track, and wound down it a little bit. We didn't stay to watch if it got longer, but that was long enough!

Lots and lots of staff everywhere, to answer questions, keep things moving, keep people in line. The employees here REALLY show a lot of pride in their job and their facility. The Bader family work ethic and culture are very evident throughout.

And I hope every division 3 track operator gets a chance to come here and how just how profitable a points race can be. Put a little $ money in with the side shows, and try to SELL the sportsman as excitinig and the fans will come. Bill Jr. and Leo have done an amazing job calling the event. It feels like a national event, every run matters, every run is important.

We are having an awesome time here. Time to go up to run SS Round 1!

Great job Beth, thanks for posting all the pictures. Patsy will probably fire me for not completing my assignment, lol. You are correct about this track, they really know how to put on a race! Lots of fans, jet cars, gassers, ice cream, fireworks, free coffee and donuts, etc. I'll be back!

Awsome job on the pic's Beth. It is a great place to race. Everyone needs to experience Norwalk one time to appreciate it.

We are pitted on the west side and must go all the way around to make a pass. It is a little less than a mile drive. I have to plan the trip accordingly. About 8 gallons of water when the air temp is 84F.

Mike, lots of people have left on the Bud side - might be worth it to pack up and re-park. I am sure if you explain to them at the gate they will totally understand.....seriously, I would consider it. Sadly, our pit spot will be open in the morning as we went three up and three down. We lost almost every way you could lose. One red light, one break out and one couldn't run the number. Too fast off the line, too fast on the dial, too fast at the top end. Ugh.

BUT, we STILL have had a GREAT time!!!
