I was a the PRI show in Orlando, they have 2 different sets of pistons for the 396/375. One set is for steel heads, another for aluminium heads and you can't use the aluminium head pistons with steel heads. They were designed for the bigger volume heads and have more dome height. The piston manufacturer was CP pistons.
