Golf Cart Raffle for Dan Parker

First, Dan and the Parker family want to thank everyone that supported the raffle and the many other ways that Dan has been helped since his accident. The outpouring of support has almost been overwhelming at times and will never be forgotten.

Josh Mackey has done an excellent job on the golf cart raffle and as of now 170 tickets have been sold. Dan will be videoed this afternoon as he draws the winning ticket and the winner will be announced at that time.

Dan was orginally hospitalized at UAB in Birmingham and they determined that his optic nerves were compressed during the accident and as of this time there is not a procedure that will correct the problem. He had an appointment this past Tuesday at Emory in Atlanta and they confirmed UAB's findings.

At this time Dan is adapting as best he can and gets stronger by the day.
