Our golf cart almost didn't make it up Mt. Sonoma. Thanks for reporting and good luck!

Jack,

I'll be there Saturday with my camera in tow.

Helmet & fire-jacket? In the closet. Being a grown-up sucks sometimes! LOL

A little confusion this morning. Per the schedule given to us with our credentials SS was scheduled to be 2nd out this morning. Stock was called so we thought it was a mistake. Not so and racers were scrambling. A lot of racers parked up the hill don't get good radio reception so didn't even hear the call. I understand there were 2 racers that didn't hear so they will get a clean up run. So final qualifying sheet won't be out for a while.

Temps have been pretty constant this weekend. It's already breezier today than it was yesterday.

Except for the clean up runs Stock & SS are done for the day.

Track seems to be working well. I watched the final SS session and didn't notice any problems.

My granddaughter is here today. I took her with me as I did my warm up lap. She didn't want out when I was done. I have a college fund started for her. I'm beginning to think I should start a race car fund, too!

A few people are broke and already gone. Chuck Echmalion, Edgecomb are both broke. The two Humrichouse cars are gone, I'm not sure why.

Stock has their two runs in for the day, SS will be up soon. We are supposed to have one run only tomorrow, so people arriving late today will have to have their act together in the morning.

Weather is gorgeous. A slight tail wind was coming up as we were making our 2nd runs.

We were down for track cleanup midway through the first session. Don Wann had valve cover gasket issues but he was able to run the 2nd session.

Only one hemi car here. Dave Raybourne had to lift.

I failed fuel check after the first run. Seems one of my cans of C-11, which I keep stored at Dad's shop, had been contaminated with some C-25. Hmmmm... So we drained everything, put in new fuel and all is right again. I politely told Dad not to touch my stuff! lol

We've nothing left to do the rest of the day, so we're just hanging out. Don & I will walk Mt. Sonoma again tonight. If that was in my backyard I'd be in fantastic shape in no time!

My kids, their spouses & my parents will be here tomorrow. Dad hasn't been to the track in a few years. My 22-month old granddaughter likes all things that go vroom vroom so we'll see how she likes her Nana's race car!
