Default Down to 1 grade point and plenty of room.

Less than 3 weeks to go and Indy has over 400 spots left.

Who in their right mind wants to go any more. Indy to me has always been a lot of hype and no delivery. They sure don't treat the sportsman racers very well. I know a lot of people say that sportsman racers aren't treated very well at any of the National events, but to me, Indy is much worse.

Who exactly is "they" that treat sportsman racers so badly? I showed up to Indy last year with an open trailer 45 minutes after the gate was closed on Wednesday and "they" let me in anyway instead of making me leave my race car outside the gate. I was given a great parking spot due the size of my rig and asked a tech guy who was leaving to hang out for a few more minutes so I could unload and he was happy to do so and tech me in. A friends car got torn down and other than the process taking forever, the NHRA techs answered any question we had. I had an issue concerning something that happened during one of my rounds and Travis Miller, Bruce Bachelder, and Danny Gracia all took the time to hear my side of the story. I got ya, if it rains we get pushed out and prices keep going up. NHRA as an organization stinks but the people like Ryck Campbell, Dave Ley, Travis, Cowboy and the rest of the guys made my experience at Indy last year awesome and I can't wait to go back.

Anybody can poo poo Indy all they want....just look at the entry list and it speaks for itself. Jason McCormack and John Calvert's A/S final two years ago was worth the price of admission...I'm not going to miss going even if I'm just riding my bike up to watch Class on Thursday and Friday.

The Calvert vs. McCormack A/S final was the best run of the entire 2010 event. I still play the Youtube video at least once a week. I'll be there for all 6 days from the first pair down the track on Wednesday to the last pair on Monday. Indy is still the biggest and best race of the year, and hopefully that will never change.

Mike I think the gripes are about the scheduling Not the tech or guys that work the lanes etc.

I think it's the economy, the ahfs, and the way class is run (combo classes)

Art, that is exactly what I was talking about. That and the rent a cops they have at some of the events. I have no problems with the tech and lane personel. The times I have went to Indy, I have yet to see one single pro car go down the lanes because for some reason there, my restricted pass wont get me into the viewing area. Every other National event that I have raced at, I have no problem, Indy I do. My wife is handicapped and so we always watch from the roped off area, at Indy, the rent a cops point to a set of bleachers and tell me that's where we need to go. Climbing stairs does not work for her. For the most part, I enjoy racing at National events, Indy just isn't one of them.
