Talking Re: NHRA Changes the Rules Today

I'm in BB/SA no FS/S for me good ideal to start with , but its out of control now and the ADRL racers who have raced that tree all year have a real advantage. I dont agree with changing the rules no matter who it helps.

Good luck to all that do race the class

Jeff , I dont think Jesse is that type of guy . If he was the Copo would have been factored harder. He want's all three car companies to play and he knows that Ford has the best car.

That's who they are trying to court - get the ADRL guys to run with NHRA, and heck with the folks who have been racing with NHRA all along, let's cater to the racers who will only come around for one event a year. Another "common sense solution" by those in Glendora. Good job, guys. I would consider boycotting it just for this reason alone. Are you running Stock Eliminator? Then Stock Eliminator rules (and all the ancillary rules including tree function and others on the starting line like courtesy staging, no deep staging, etc) should apply. I would question everything right now so you know what the rules really are.

Let's remember there Joey, I saw that 9.2 and 9.3 you ran first hand, so come on now!
Anyway, still screwed up the way that this thing is being handled.
If they would stick to .5 tree and we can find the performance, I would be in no doubt. Even if we get quick enough, don't like the uncertainty and volatility of the tree thing. Sure is playing right into the guys who have been running ADRL.
Enough of that bandwagon, let's go race and have fun, after all that's what we do it for!
See you guys there!

Jeff I don't want 5% hp off my combo. The AHFS will just put it back on in a short time. I'm here sipping my beer because I can't afford a martini. I want a blower. A whipple charger. I know my car didn't come with one but who really gives a rats *** anymore if it didn't. The stock horse left the barn a long time ago. And the last couple of years the barn lost all it's sides. The only thing left to the stock barn is the roof. With the blower maybe then I can come close to running with some of the new bogus ****. And I do love the new cars out there. They just have no right being in what I used to know as stock. So if you would call Pat.Glen and Bruce and get me one I would appriciate it. Thanks Barry

I believe they went to a .400 pro tree so that the chances of a red light would be reduced. A sportsman tree would probably bring a few red lights and even a .500 pro tree would likely bring some red lights as well.

Wow, did this thing get legs. Anyway we are trying to load all this stuff and leave tomorrow. Once on the road we can relax at least for the trip. Great discussion, pro and con. See everyone up the road.

Art, probably not. Houston is the same weekend, and an outside chance of going to Las Vegas for the Sportsnationals. I always had a good time in Reynolds.
