The primer one had LO dash tag if I remember right

The purple one is convincing but has a wedge in it by the looks of the headers. They look like fenderwells

The Asphalt Animal was a privately built car...it was built in McDonald, Pa. from a body in white.

Bob George is the one to contact....he knows all about the history of that one, including where it is now. Bob has built a clone to his original to race it...they had both of them up at Beaver Springs for the Nostalgia Nats....you can't tell them apart except for the shiny chroome wheels on the clone.

Thumbs up Re: Original hemi dart information

Clone has windshield wipers, horn, and PA inspection sticker. You have to look real close to tell them apart.

If anyone here knows Bob George tell him to come on over to these forums...it sounds like he would have a wealth of information on these old race cars.

The purple one I believe belongs to PJ Davenport (dont quote me on the name). My dad bought some steel front end dart fenders from him. He thought it had a wedge and a hemi in it at different times. Pretty sure its not a real dart, but neat none the less

I witnessed that purple Dart being bracket raced in Illinois back in the mid 90s and I'm quite confident that it was home built from an ordinary production car.
