Also, it appears that Lewis Bloom "stat guy" confirmed that this pass was indeed the quickest in Super Stock history. Pretty cool!!!

Totally impressive! You make running a turbo car look easy. I'm just curious as to the drivetrain you're using. Since Honda uses great engineering to make their parts super light, I wouldn't think they would have the strength to do what you're asking of them. And, if it's not a trade secret, what size slicks are you running?

If he had one of those sweet clutches, he would probably be in the 5's

Thanks for all the kind words.

It's been fun (and frustrating at times) getting this thing dialed throughout the season. But it's going right down broadway now.

I can't thank Mike Roth (MR2PERFORMANCE) and Devin Pearce (AEM Electronics) enough. Without these 2 guys the car wouldn't make the power that it does, nor would it be able to get down the track.

Here is a neat article on dragzine about the car.

Nice article.
When we talked before I thought you were running a FWD. Thats why I thought it would never be competitive in the class. If I was 10 years younger (and $20,000 richer) I'd turn my motor around and run SS/FS. If I go over 125 MPH I have to be in a commercial jet. LOL
Your car really is impressive. I never thought a 4 cylinder would run with the V6 buick.
If you work on the first 330' It will fly.
But you have to get to a points meet or another race and lower your average. You already have tripped the trigger to get your index hit. You are in complete control of it. You don't want to wind up like Scott Kelly. He has a great car but a stupid fast index.

Art, you could always switch to a Skyline all wheel drive w/turbo straight six.

What ever happened to that Challenger convertible that you used to run, ever think of getting another one?

with a 25.5 cage, you'd have to be the size of a Jockey (or Snooki) to get in that thing. Got any pics of the interior?

It's a bit of squeeze to get in and out of it. But there is actually a decent amount of room inside of it. I have a full size 17.5" kirky in it.

Here is an in-car vid (kind of dark, sorry) but you get the idea.

Here is the best picture I could find. Please excuse me, this picture doesn't have the recently upgraded, beautiful rich mahogany steering wheel in it.

Last I heard the Challenger convertible was in a garage in Staten Island NY.
Every now and then. I dream about racing another Challenger. Then I wake up all sweaty
Stock has changed so much I would never build another one. People have talked about racing a car with all factory parts. Well my Spirit was one of those cars and a bunch of those on here gripped about it. It was Okay to massaged a set of heads run square cams, and valve springs that could double for coil overs. To improve air flow.
But when I upped the boost pressure a bit. It should have been called cheating.
I'm perfectly happy with what I'm running now just over 300 runs on my gas ported rings and pistons. Doing a rering, bearings, and a new cam. I'll be set for another 3 years.
