No different than selling your own T-Shirts at National Events or Points Meets or you sponsor doing Sampling!

Talking Re: NHRA Video Policy

By reading the above post,, it seems NHRA's concern is directed at "teams",, nothing in there about fans in the stands,, spectators or an occasional single, stock eliminator racer filming for his own "personal" use.

I must be missing something here . They ESPN&ESPNHD film/cover the pros very well and the people doing it , all get payed for doing a good job . ESPN2&ESPNHD pays nhra good sums of money for all the rights , of all the footage and then goes after sponcers for commerials to recover those moneys . I understand the business side on this subject . They have nobody covering , or will not pay someone to role the footage of the sportsman classes , fact ! So because of ther lack of desire to cover the sportsman classes nobody can ? Are they telling us they can't find any sponcer$ to cover the sportsman classes ? We were part of that package deal with nhra pro's wright . Sounds like someones not holding up to there side of the deal , in my opionion ! Is it mainly lack of sponcer money to pay the people to run the camara's on the sportsman classes when they run . If so they are doing it wrong ! If someone roles vidio for free they should be happy , who works for free .There needs to be a compromise here . Because there are poeple who wish to watch the footage belive it or not . Do they need a petition ? Case and point , look at all the other sports . Just because you didn't go to an event/game didn't you enjoy watching on ESPN2 at home be it pro , colage or world of outlaws dirt ser. etc . Theres alot of channels with questionable material on TV that get sponcers , come on ESPN2 , I thought you were better than this .

its real sad that events like class eliminations of Indy are not recorded and sold. There are many small production companies all over I'd bet would do the job and sell the videos to recoup some cash and make nhra money. There are so many start up companies who could learn to do their respective jobs better doing this. I am of the opinion NHRA is too lazy to find local companies at national events, even points meets and opens. It could only put more people to work.So sad.
I personally prayed someone filmed class at indy, which seems to have not happened oh, well. I know I'd buy a copy, and if a few thouand were sold, i'd like to think it would earn a profit and pay some salaries for those involved, and help them reach their goal of doing better jobs filming and editing, even distributing. Hello NHRA are you listening, I am a big fan and will buy more product from you, hello, hellooo.........
