Small point but, if Garlits was in the "red car", it can only be 1966. That would also make it Frey's first year of announcing (shown) at Atco...ironically.

Newest car seems to be '66 ,plus a couple of racers I know, who ran Atco back then said '66 was the last year they had the 3 light 'tree'.
One racer on the vid was talking about his new fiberglass '66 Chevelle body. Probably was one of those Sunday morning fillers for the tv station.
