I like for my car to look good,when it's clean it does'nt look too bad it needs new paint but that won't make any difference in winning or losing.
My first stocker I built was 80 malibu in 88 first took it was 4 or 5 different colors, got all the bugs worked out, decided to paint it,ended up stripping to bare metal while still racing it, last night I raced it before painting,it had what I thought was a little surface rust on the bare metal, till a kid about 10-12 years old asked me if my car had been burnt. I decided after that I should finish it and not race it in that shape any more. Mike Taylor 3601 |
