Due to the schedule last year in Las Vegas, we actually tore down before we even ran once. There just wouldn't have been enough time to do it during the runs. So we did the teardown first, and the engine was sealed.

Then we went out and got the record with two runs.

Another driver behind us in line decided that he could could run for the record too, so he put the R on his car, and tried. He spun and missed on his first run, so it wasn't an issue, but I was wondering when he thought that he would tear down.

We haven't run a lot this year, maybe eight or so races, but my engine is still sealed up.

When 2 cars in the same class set a record, on the same day, at the same track. The quicker one goes to the barn. If you set a record in the same class same day, at different tracks both cars teardown but the quicker one gets the record.

Been there, done that. Took mine apart for nothing once.
Told Jimmy Bridges, at Indy, I still have not forgiven him. LOL
